About the Role:
You will:
- Be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and triaging online distribution customer return material.
- Maintain the warehouse by reshelving return material in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
- Act with a high attention to detail to ensure returns are processed accurately.
- Handle all receiving discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.
- Identify nonstock and damaged return material and process accordingly.
- Operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
- Inform immediate supervisor of discrepancies or damaged/defective/nonsaleable returns.
- Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
- Mitigate online returns by submitting disputes through our customer portal.
- Be aware of the stock of spare boxes and parts and request or purchase more as necessary.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues.
- Assist co-workers in servicing customers.
- Perform all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
- Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
About You:
- 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience.
- Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred (plumbing and heating products)
- Be able to drive for company business. As a company business driver, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
- Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
Our ideal candidate will also:
- Have 3 or more years of warehouse experience, specifically with inventory management and ERP systems.
- Be computer savvy, specifically with Microsoft Excel, and able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
- Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
- Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
- Be computer savvy, specifically with Microsoft Excel, and able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
