The Information Systems team in our National Support Center (NSC) is looking for a Business Intelligence & Reporting Manager at their Lafayette Hill, PA office. This will be a hybrid role.

About the Role:
You will:

Lead our data analysis team, foster strong business partnerships, and drive the strategic value of data across the organization.
- Be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights, enabling better business decisions, and ensuring that data is a cornerstone of our company’s success.

Lead & develop a team:
- Hire, Manage, mentor, and grow the business intelligence (BI) and data analytics team, ensuring their skills evolve with technological trends.

Set clear performance expectations and goals for teammates and conduct regular performance evaluations to assess progress and provide feedback.
- Provide guidance on data analysis, visualization, and reporting to drive actionable insights.

Collaborate with IT teams to manage data architecture, infrastructure, and governance.
- Set team goals, prioritize projects, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs.

Foster business partnerships & stakeholder engagement:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the business intelligence team and other departments (e.g. operations, vendor relations, finance, real estate)

Provide reporting and data analysis services to a highly decentralized organization, ensuring that all business units have access to accurate, actionable insights.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs, define priorities, and set clear expectations on deliverable timelines.

Ensure alignment between BI initiatives and overall business goals by translating business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Educate business units on the strategic use of data and promote a data-driven culture.

Strategize & create value:
- Contribute to the development of BI strategy roadmap, identify opportunities for innovation, recommend data-driven solutions, and execute.

Identify opportunities to leverage data for business process improvements, customer insights, and revenue growth.
- Ensure BI tools, dashboards, and reports deliver impactful insights and support decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Collaborate on the development of KPIs and performance metrics to measure business success and the impact of BI initiatives.

- Promote technology & innovation:

Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Data Analysis tools and platforms.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging BI tools, and data analytics best practices.

Implement advanced analytics methodologies such as predictive modeling, machine learning, and data mining to drive business performance.
- Partner with IT to ensure data integrity, availability, and security across systems.

Govern & ensure compliance:
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal governance standards.

Establish best practices for data management, ensuring high-quality data collection, storage, and usage practices.
- Prepare quarterly system reviews for senior management.

Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5 or more years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, data science or related fields.

1 or more year of experience leading cross-functional data or BI teams.
- Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

An understanding of data storage strategies (Data Lakes, Data Warehouse, structured and unstructured data)
- Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and data modeling.

Familiarity with the wholesale distribution industry
- Demonstrated project management expertise, including the ability to manage complex projects.
Our ideal candidate will also:

Have experience with Azure data warehousing solutions (e.g. Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric) or other cloud data warehousing.
- Have foundational experience in R, Python or similar programming language (highly favored)

Be familiar with machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics.
- Have prior experience building and deploying business intelligence solutions and driving business impact through data insights and analytics.

Possess leadership qualities and be viewed as a leader.
- Have experience promoting a productive and positive team environment, coaching staff to do their best work.

Be able to perform under pressure and be a trusted facilitator to resolve problems and deliver solutions.
- Have experience working with 3rd party implementers, leveraging an outsourced resource model for system implementations and operations.
- Practice excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate openly, clearly and effectively. Be able to translate and communicate technical concepts to non-technical leadership.

Possess robust business acumen, coordination skills, and supervisory competence to efficiently manage the prioritization of initiatives.
- Have strong listening skills and be able to recognize potential conflicts and resolve them accordingly.
- Have strong hands-on technical competence with the ability to learn and stay ahead of evolving technology. Must be experienced delivering end-to-end technical solutions.
