Sales Development Manager

As a key member of our Sales Development team, you will work collaboratively with Marketing and our Business Development teams to identify and create new qualified sales opportunities. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role, perfect for someone who excels in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Identify & Develop Opportunities: Proactively research, prospect, and establish new business relationships within your assigned territory/market. You’ll initiate conversations, nurture leads, and develop a robust pipeline to generate new business opportunities.
- Manage Inbound Enquiries: Qualify and manage inbound warm leads generated by Marketing, progressing them to sales-ready opportunities.
- Outbound Engagement: Conduct timely outreach through calls, emails, and social media to prospect for new opportunities and qualify potential leads.
- Relationship Building: Effectively communicate to cultivate interest in Signant Health’s solutions, educate prospective clients, and establish strong professional relationships.
- Navigate the Sales Process: Identify key decision-makers, assess purchasing readiness, handle objections, and employ strategic sales techniques to align customer needs with our solutions.
- Achieve & Exceed Targets: Consistently meet and exceed performance metrics, KPIs, and quotas. You are motivated by success and thrive in a target-driven environment.
- CRM Expertise: Meticulously record and manage all relevant information and data within our CRM system, ensuring a strategic and organised approach to lead management.
- Industry Engagement: Represent Signant Health at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, expanding your professional network and market knowledge.
What We’re Looking For
- Educational Background: A university degree is a plus.
- Sales Experience: Previous experience in lead generation or inside sales is essential. Familiarity with the pharmaceutical or CRO industries is advantageous but not required.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding interpersonal abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Confident in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and proficient in CRM systems.
- Results-Oriented: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Self-Starter: Enthusiastic, dependable, and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed.
- Adaptable: Highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities, and effective in both independent and team-oriented work settings.
- Resilient & Strategic: Philosophical about setbacks and eager to learn from challenges, with a forward-thinking approach to overcoming obstacles.
