Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to provide administrative support to our finance department. In this role, you will assist with a variety of routine financial tasks, including data entry, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, handling invoices, and supporting the accounting team in daily operations. This position is ideal for someone with an understanding of accounting principles, excellent numerical accuracy, and a passion for detail-oriented work.
What You Will Work On:
- Maintain Client Confidentiality: Ensuring the privacy of our high-net-worth clients is a crucial requirement.
- Data Entry & Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately input and update financial data into internal systems, ensuring records are organized and up to date.
- General Ledger Reconciliation and Report Preparation: Assist with monthly GL reconciliations and the preparation and formatting of financial reports for review by senior management.
- Company Credit Card Management: Manage company credit card account by issuing/canceling credit cards and liaising with the support team.
- Routine Financial Operations Support: Assist the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring smooth and accurate workflow.
- Document Organization: Help maintain and organize financial files and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Sales Tax Filings: Prepare and file periodic sales tax timely in each state.
- Other Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform additional administrative tasks and support as needed.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling numerical data.
- Basic understanding of general ledger, accounting principles and financial terminology.
- High level of numerical accuracy with the ability to perform calculations and work with financial data.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with Microsoft Teams for communication.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with WinTeam, Concur, Salesforce/Certinia and Asana is a plus, but not required.
