Manager Quality Assurance
The Quality Manager serves as the Compliance Monitoring and Safety Manager in our Part 145 organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a strong safety culture. Leading a team of Quality Engineers, Technicians and Training coordinator, the Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the compliance monitoring program and managing the safety management system, ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to EASA Part-145 regulations and other relevant aviation regulations.
Key responsibilities include conducting regular audits, inspections, and assessments of internal processes, procedures, and documentation to identify non-compliance areas and implement corrective actions. Manage and develop Quality Management System and Safety Management System (SMS), conduct safety investigations, and promote our Safety Reporting culture to mitigate risks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:
Leadership and Management
- Lead the Quality team, providing guidance, training, and development.
- Establish quality objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Foster a culture of Compliance, Safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to influence across multiple organizational levels and departments.
Quality System Management
- Stay current and updated on changes in EASA and other relevant aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain and develop the Maintenance organization Exposition (MOE) and other Quality Manuals.
- Maintain and develop the Safety Management System Manual and safety programs
- Develop, implement and manage the organizations Training Program Manual.
- Lead implementation of new strategies to increase the effectiveness of Quality Systems.
- Drive an effective internal audit program, corrective action process, and continuously improve their effectiveness.
- Serve as the liaison with Regulatory Authorities and the primary point of contact during audits and inspections.
Supplier Quality
- Develop and implement supplier quality policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and approve supplier based on quality and regulatory requirements.
Process and Product Quality
- Experience in applying APQP (AS9145 or equivalent).
- Develop and implement process control procedures.
- Support customers enquiries and ensure compliance to customer quality standards.
- Promote Operational Excellence through utilization of Lean Manufacturing techniques as well as Process Validation, robust problem-solving methodology, Six Sigma and technical expertise.
- Effectively lead teams in root cause analysis, implementing effective corrective actions.
- Provide support to Engineering in new product development and introduction.
- Partner with Engineering and Operations across the organization to establish key business processes and metrics, document them effectively, and ensure that inputs and outputs are measured appropriately.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze relevant data to identify trends and key areas for improvement.
- Experience of implementing and applying SPC.
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in a suitable position within the aviation industry.
- A relevant engineering or technical degree, or a qualification as an aircraft technician or maintenance engineer with additional education.
- In Depth knowledge of regulatory requirements for EASA Part-145, FAA, CAAC, CAA-UK and others.
- Strong Knowledge of AS9100/ISO900/AS9145 standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MOE systems and safety policies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with significant experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Organization skills that will enable oversight of multiple simultaneous projects.
- Thoughtful and effective communications skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
