Solution Architect
The purpose of the role is to architect, design, develop, and assist in the implementation of innovative technical solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient system architectures.
The role can be home based or hybrid is also available. Our Head office is in Street, Somerset.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and oversee the implementation of end-to-end solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks.
• Create architectural blueprints, documentation, and design specifications.
• Work closely with development teams to guide technical execution and resolve architectural challenges.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate architectural reviews and provide recommendations for performance improvements.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: experience in solution architecture, software development, or IT consulting.
• Technical Expertise:
o Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
o Expertise in software development, microservices, APIs, and DevOps practices.
o Familiarity with databases, networking, security, and enterprise integration patterns.
o Experience with architectural frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
• Soft Skills:
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
o Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP, TOGAF, or relevant architectural frameworks.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Prior experience in enterprise-level digital transformation projects.
