YOUR CHALLENGE

Reporting to the Director, Wind Asset Management, the candidate will be responsible for supervising and optimizing the operation of the 45 turbines Thames River wind farm in Tilbury.

Responsible for providing general supervision & development of all employees at the site, daily schedules, and assignments for work activities;

• Responsible for all QC activity on site, performing QC assessments of work by Technicians.
• Responsible for all safety aspects at the site, including Safety Walks (Site Audits) in the field, maintenance standards and safety documentation, including tailgate meetings and energy isolation lists (LOTO). Manage production by making appropriate decisions and seizing production opportunities.
• Apply legislative obligations (health and safety, environment, etc.) and ensure compliance with various contracts and agreements.
• Supervise and support a team by adopting a management style based on accountability and the achievement of objectives.
• Design and implement a skills development strategy for the team;
• In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensure proper maintenance of the wind farm site (BOP) and turbines.
• Ensure a good relationship with the field maintenance team.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with various stakeholders in the field.
• Monitor budgets and achieve budget targets under his/her responsibility.
• Monitor technologies and services related to all aspects of wind energy.

YOUR SKILLS

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or other appropriate training or similar experience.
• 5 to 7 years relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of the wind power industry is an asset.
• Good knowledge of preventive maintenance.
• Good physical condition, not afraid of heights and confined spaces.
• Enjoy working outdoors.
