1st Shift Trainee Technician (Personal Care)

Title:                                 Trainee Technician

Reports to:                     Manufacturing Supervisor

Department:                 Manufacturing

Supervises:                    N/A

Organizational Relationships:            

Work with senior level technicians in manufacturing.

Basic Function:

Entry level position, must understand and follow GMP’s and general cleaning procedures in assigned area. Assist with basic manufacturing procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Verify all raw materials necessary to manufacture a batch.
2. Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble any equipment in assigned area (mixers, grinders, etc.)
3. Clean and sanitize manufacturing tanks according to Standard Operating Procedures.
4. Fill out any log or records regarding sanitization of equipment in assigned department.
5. Load / fill a manufacturing tank according to the batch record.
6. Fill out batch cards correctly checking raw material control, expiry date, lot and batch numbers of each ingredient.
7. Drain product into containers and weigh.
8. Must have working knowledge of compliance with G.M.P.’s, environmental, safety, and quality control procedures in the performance of job duties.
9. Assist a Technician in basic manufacturing procedures.
10. All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High School or equivalency diploma preferred.
2. Knowledge of G.M.P.’s, environmental, safety, and quality control procedures.
3. Basic organizational and English skills.
4. Good communication and organizational skills.
5. Perform basic mathematical and conversion functions.
6. Basic computer literacy.
7. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
