Manufacturing - Welder II - 2nd Shift
At EFCO, we believe in helping those responsible for the construction of the world's concrete structures with a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient concrete formwork solution. We do this by engineering, designing, manufacturing, supplying and field servicing forming and shoring products for concrete construction.
We are seeking a skilled Welder 2 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding, flux-core wire welding, high tensile wire welding, and aluminum wire welding. This position requires the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, build special forms, and operate various welding and material-handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform production welding using MIG gun welders, flux-core wire, high tensile wire, and aluminum wire.

Operate weld fixtures and conduct manual finish welding.

Read and interpret mechanical drawings to build special forms and equipment.

Fabricate standard and special weldments without a fixture using laser-etched lines or tab and slotted techniques.

Accurately use and read measuring tape to 1/64 inch.

Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain accurate labor records in work order and Kronos systems.

Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Perform routine maintenance and repair of forms.

Adhere to all company safety and environmental policies.
Equipment & Tools Used:

MIG gun weld unit

Aluminum wire gun weld unit

PAPR Weld Hood

Weld fixture
-
Grinding, buffing, and polishing tools

Cutting torch, arc air, and handheld plasma cutter

Material handling equipment

Tape measure (1/64 or 1mm accuracy)

Fillet weld gauges, chisels, and hammers
Required Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge of welding procedures and ability to pass weld tests.

Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow detailed instructions.
Physical Requirements:

Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and reach.

Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently.

Perform repetitive motions involving shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, and fingers.

Frequently push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Work in varied positions, including elevated work up to 20 lbs.
Work Environment:
This is a medium work classification role requiring the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high safety standards.
