The Breakdown:
This is an exciting and challenging role on Burton’s People & Culture team to help build Burton's culture and workplace practices. This role provides a broad range of strategic people, organizational, and culture services and support including recruiting, talent management, organizational design and development, compensation, performance management, employee development, and employee relations, and acting as an extended staff member and trusted advisor for Managers in designated groups/departments. The position will proactively address a wide range of HR needs and continue to help build Burton’s reputation as a world class employer.
What You Get to Do:
- Provide a full range of Human Resources expertise to leadership and employees, including recruiting, talent management, organizational design and development, compensation, performance management, employee development, and employee relations
- Analyze data and metrics and implement initiatives to improve the employee experience
- Responsible for Burton Europe’s talent acquisition processes incl. posting new job openings, pre-screening applications and interviewing candidates as the “recruitment key user”
- Develop onboarding plans and guide new hires through the onboarding experience
- Organize various company events, team building activities, trainings and career development programs
- Administration of internal policies & guidelines
- Oversee all employee benefits and constantly evolve initiatives to foster the best employee experience
- Data management in Burtons HCM tool Dayforce by Ceridian
- Closely cooperate with the Company Doctor and Safety Advisor organizing regular consultation-hours, first aid courses, eye checks, safety briefings, etc.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s/ Master´s degree (preferred in the field of human resources) and 3 to 5 years of work experience in a similar role
- Thorough knowledge of Human Resources functions including experience with leading change, talent planning, employee development, compensation, recruitment and employee relations and labour law
- Strong interest in current HR trends, strategies and best practices
- Fluent in German and English, speaking and writing skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to constantly switch between administrative, people-oriented and creative tasks
- Strong Microsoft Office computer skills
- Affinity for the snowboarding/outdoor lifestyle
- A positive attitude to model Burton’s Vision, Values and Commitments, professionalism and a "win-win" approach regarding general behavior and conflict resolution
- Proven credibility in establishing strong relationships and the ability to establish rapport with stakeholders at all levels
- Comfortable acting with autonomy and operates with a high degree of independence
- Understand the business and ability to formulate HR plans to meet business goals
