Compliance Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Intern will provide support to AtriCure’s compliance program. The Intern will gain exposure to healthcare compliance and transparency laws while working closely with compliance team members on the completion of department objectives key to AtriCure’s business. Duties include auditing and monitoring, tracking and trending of the monitoring and investigation results, conducting data analysis, and assisting with the compilation of transparency reports, reviewing and updating compliance policies with support from team leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving and time management skills as well as excellent attention to detail.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Review and organize transparency data for submission to the government
  • Review, sort, and analyze data from multiple systems
  • Monitor compliance with key program initiatives
  • Track and trend monitoring results and compliance incidents statistics
  • Maintain compliance logs
  • Develop graphs and charts depicting compliance monitoring and auditing results
  • Assist with corporate policy and procedure drafting
  • Review training materials and run reports on training completion metrics
  • Other duties as assigned, depending on the candidate’s unique skillsets

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program focused on social sciences, compliance, law, or pre-law. Other appropriately qualified candidates will be considered.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Must be confident, goal-oriented, self-motivated and a team player
  • Computer proficient
  • Outstanding organizational skills

  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as required
  • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
