PM Maintenance Technician
Summary:
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic systems, and production machines and support equipment by performing the following responsibilities.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of plastic production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform and document routine lubrication of production machinery and equipment.
Repairs or replaces defective mechanical parts.
Replaces faulty electrical parts such as relays, switches, motors and sensors.
Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Replace and rewire electrical motors and control systems up to 480 VAC
Starts equipment to test their performance.
Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Test and repair support equipment (grinders-thermal control units- hand tools)
Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment.
Basic hydraulic knowledge.
Ability to weld ferrous metals.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
