Lead Accountant

    You will: 

• Play a pivotal role in ensuring financial compliance and providing insight into the financial health of the business.  

• Be responsible for general accounting related to monthly close processes, lease accounting, revenue recognition, among other tasks.

• Support decision making efforts by our 420+ business unit managers, regional management, and senior management by analyzing trends and communicating answers to profit and loss (P&L) issues in a timely manner.

• Review balance sheets, P&L statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and identify any opportunities. 

• Be responsible for certain period-end close processes, general ledger reconciliations, and consolidations.

• Lead research and the appropriate application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Implement new technical guidance and analyze and communicate the impact of such new guidance. 

• Be responsible for purchase accounting/acquisition financials.

• Consolidate and analyze total company financials on a monthly basis.

• Prepare the annual consolidated global financial report and footnotes, work papers, white papers, etc. 

• Manage all audits including the financial statement audit and prepare pension plan information for the annual pension audit.

• Develop and present recommendations for the continuous improvement of processes. 

• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. 

• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.

• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

About You: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 5 or more years of accounting experience in large organizations

• CPA highly preferred
