Outside Salesperson

Core Responsibilities:
- Assisting customers in making product selections; assisting with system or product troubleshooting; and answering technical questions.
- Providing a high level of customer service and technical support to HVAC/R contractors and industrial personnel both in person and on the phone.
- Having a full knowledge of our equipment product lines and being able to correctly size and matchup jobs as well as troubleshoot service issues.
- Maintaining knowledge of HVAC/R fundamentals and product lines (features, function, use and benefits of Hajoca HVAC products, vendors carried and their respective lines); stay informed of new products; and utilize opportunities to further educate self, co-workers and customers.
- Determining replacement HVAC/R parts, according to inspection or verbal/description of the old part, and customer requirements.
- Providing customer product and service needs by performing such tasks as finding products using computer, catalog, telephone or other reference sources. This includes researching and sourcing product for customers using a variety of tools, such as point-of-sale computer system, catalogs, web-based tools and industry contacts
- Training other teammates in HVAC fundamentals
- As an Outside Salesperson, you must be optimistic, friendly and service-oriented. Excellent verbal communication is a must and all salespeople must approach customer interactions in an honest and ethical fashion.
Our ideal candidate will also:
- Have at least 5-7 years of industry experience
- Possess a college degree
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of HVAC product
- Possess strong sales / wholesale sales / HVAC industry, knowledge and experience
- Demonstrate excellent organization and presentation skills with ability to meet deadlines.

About the Role:
You will:

Attract and retain customers. Proactively conduct face-to-face customer meetings, visit job sites, and meet with decision makers to provide the best possible customer experience.

Work with the Profit Center Manager to establish revenue and margin targets.

Analyze sales reports and tools to establish strategies that assess customer purchase potential, grow market share, and meet or exceed monthly sales targets.

Process sales orders, bids, and job information packages, and perform all sales functions in accordance with Company policy and procedures.

Actively participate in scheduled sales meetings, complete customer call reports, and maintain current customer profile data.

Find innovative ways to grow sales with existing customers and identify and implement opportunities for value-added services.

Investigate and resolve customer problems, address pricing deductions and material returns timely and in accordance with Company policy and procedure, and follow up to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction.

Work with the customer, Profit Center Manager, and Credit Manager to facilitate payment of all accounts receivable; communicate any changes in a customer’s business that might cause a credit risk.

Support Inside Sales and all Profit Center activities as part of our Profit Center Team.

Join industry associations to stay informed about market conditions, new technologies, and trends.

Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
About You:

1+ years outside sales experience, contractor sales preferred.

Able to drive for company business. As a company business driver, you must:

Be at least 18 years old.

Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.

Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.

Extensive knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center
