POSITION SUMMARY:
The NDT technician performs non-destructive inspection of components to ensure compliance with Company’s quality system, specifications, and customer requirements. Non-destructive testing disciplines include penetrant testing and radiography testing.
Job Duties
- Analyze, Interpret, evaluate and document NDT inspection results in accordance with company procedures, work instructions, applicable standards, specifications and procedures
- Record inspection, test data and statistics manually or with the aid of a computer or computer-based system
- Certification in FPI or Radiography preferred
- Use of comparators, micrometers, scales and calipers
- Ensure completeness of work in process documentation
- Read, interpret and set up applicable NDT equipment
- Read and interpret all inspection data and customer requirements
- Embrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities
- Ensure compliance with Quality Manual
Qualifications
- Able to achieve Level I in required NDT methods (following training)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions
and decimals.
The specific LICENSES and/or CERTIFICATIONS required for this position are:
- Certified NDT Technician (following training) preferred
- Must pass applicable vision test if required
