Production Operator IV - Composite Repair Lead

As a Production Operator Lead, you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices and company policies.  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Walk the ship list multiple times per week and identify potential issues with shipping parts on-time
• Leads and instructs shop personnel in proper procedures and techniques
• Distribute workflow to meet deadlines
• Running department Tier 5 and Tier 4 boards
• Complete ECR requests
• Manage department line of balance
• Assist with training new employees within the department, to include 30 – 60 – 90 day reviews
• Assist in assembly and disassembly of aircraft engine parts in preparation for repair processes.
• Utilize chemical cleaning procedures.
• Perform hand cleaning to include sanding, blending, and de-burring of aircraft engine parts to remove foreign elements from parts.
• Load and deliver aircraft parts to appropriate work areas.
• Occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist in performance of work.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role – in absence of leadership experience, a minimum of 1 year of training experience, 3 years of production operator or manufacturing experience in a repair shop.
• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.  
• You must be able to read, write and use work instruction sheets.  
• Mechanical background would be helpful.  Ability to use hand tools and gauges.  
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.   

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum lift floor to waist – 25 pounds
• Minimum lift waist to shoulder level – 25 pounds
