About the opportunity:

 

We are looking for a Manager, Learning and Development who will drive the design, development, and execution of learning programs that enhance organizational development and employee performance. This role will apply adult learning principles to create impactful training initiatives, support management efforts, and foster on-the-job skill development. Additionally, the role will oversee L&D technology, ensuring its alignment with business needs, and collaborate with HR to support performance management processes. This position requires a strategic mindset, technical expertise, and a passion for employee development.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop customized learning solutions including course content, e-learning materials, lesson plans, supporting materials and relevant assessment tools. 
  • Work with relevant stakeholders such as SME’s, HR, cross-functional teams to develop programs relating to learning & development for Christie employees.  
  • Develop change management approach, stakeholder maps, and communications strategy to support initiatives. 
  • Recommend learning programs considering adult learning principles and all available platforms to ensure meaningful and engaging transfer of learning. 
  • Support broader priorities and special projects such as: Business unit transformations; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion priorities as it relates to performance. 
  • Ability to design and establish processes and procedures.
  • Create and manage leadership development programs to nurture high-potential employees and build strong internal talent pipelines.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of courses at various stages of development. 
  • Work with Divisional training resources to get the best result. 
  • Participate in committees and task forces, as needed, specific to the learning function. 
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure they remain on track for key deliverables.

The experience and skills we value:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources or an L&D/Adult Education related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of prior relevant experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Learning & Development Programs
  • Experience with project management, strategic operations, strategy consulting, and designing data-driven diversity program strategies

 

 

 

What Will Put You Ahead:

 

  • Passion for and experience in any of the following spaces: L&D, HR and/or Talent Management 
  • Proven track record of facilitating organization-wide initiatives with multiple senior stakeholders 
  • Exceptional communication skills exhibited at all levels within an organization 
  • Experience building out global programming in an organization where scaling for growth has been a feature 
  • Open to traveling for work as needed 
  • Christie unique product, policy, and industry-related knowledge
  • Oracle/ JD Edwards business system
  • Absorb or like LMS
