Summary
The intern hired for this position should expect to learn all facets consistent with the area of study and will leave this position with invaluable skills and industry knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with manufacturing teams onsite to complete various program objectives.
- Team up with program management to respond to customer requirements.
- Learn the basic functions of FNG Program Lifecycle Management (PLM) software. Assist with clerical items and documentation for Advanced .
- Work with management to establish long term summer project and report out upon completion of internship.
Internship Tasks
- Assist program management / engineering with ongoing launch activities
- Assembly of first off parts, record dimensional results on check fixtures, safe launch exercises.
- Participate in product development meetings.
- Hand delivery of first off product to customer pilot plants, suppliers, and test facilities.
- Attend mold validation trials, check fixture approval meetings, and secondary equipment run off events.
- Utilize FNG Program Lifecycle Management (PLM) software: Assist with bill of materials, engineering changes, and lessons learned opportunities.
Requirements
- Must be a major in area of studies such as mechanical, electrical, industrial, chemical, manufacturing or welding engineering.
- Ability to use MS Office, MiniTab, AutoCAD & other analytical and planning tools.
- Possesses strong analytic and statistic skills
- Has the ability to work independently
