Position Overview
The primary focus of a delivery driver is to provide a high level of customer service to our field operations while meeting defined quality and on time performance standards. A delivery driver must work safely while adapting to the changing needs of our business.
Technical Responsibilities of the Job
- Transport materials securely to designated job sites.
- Unload materials and stage according to documented standard works.
- Ensure delivery paperwork is accurate and complete
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Transportation vehicles include 28’ box trucks, 16’ stake beds and commercial vans.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and address potential workplace hazards.
- Perform other duties as communicated by the Delivery Supervisor

Training/Certification
- Hold a valid California Driver’s License
- HVAC and plumbing parts knowledge preferred.

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Individuals must be able to physically:
- All physical requirements are noted on the Physical Requirements document for Delivery Driver.
Working conditions and management style:
- Current types of forklifts to be operated: Sit-down, Stand-up reach, and Combilift
- The department is lead by the Delivery Supervisor and one Delivery Lead
- The Delivery Supervisor reports to the Warehouse Manager.
- Processes are controlled using standard work documentation. All warehouse employees are required to follow standard works and are encouraged to suggest improvements.
- Overtime will be required as fluctuations in the workload dictates.
Performance Standards:
- Clocking in to start work one minute late is considered late.
- Maintain a professional attitude and adhere to all company policies.
- All Villara employees are expected to work well with other team members, sub-contractors, and customers
- A delivery driver must be in good attendance and performance standing to be eligible for transfer or promotion.
- All injuries, regardless of severity or where it occurred must be reported to the supervisor immediately.
