JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Senior Maintenance Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of maintenance operations at our Ripon winery. This position is responsible for overseeing the storeroom, facilities maintenance, and bottling maintenance. The role involves developing and implementing forward-thinking maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing budget and resource management. The Senior Maintenance Manager will work closely with the Sr. Director and other senior management to ensure maintenance activities align with the winery’s overall business objectives and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee all maintenance activities across the site: Ensure efficient and effective operations by managing daily maintenance tasks and long-term projects.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies: Create and execute plans that enhance operational performance, reduce downtime, and extend the lifespan of equipment. This involves analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and integrating new technologies and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards: Ensure all maintenance activities meet local, state, and federal regulations. Implement safety protocols and training programs to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage strategic planning and budget management: Align maintenance activities with the overall business goals by developing strategic plans and managing budgets based on forecasting maintenance needs, allocating resources, and monitoring expenditures.
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs: Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment failures and production downtime. This includes regular inspections, servicing, and replacement of parts as needed.
- Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively: Ensure cost-efficiency by overseeing the maintenance budget, tracking expenses, and optimizing the use of resources. This involves negotiating with vendors, purchasing supplies, and managing inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in maintenance management.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies.
- Strong knowledge of safety and regulatory standards.
- Excellent budget management and resource allocation skills.
- Strong leadership and coordination abilities.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a leadership role within a large-scale manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in an environment which may involve walking and standing.
COMPENSATION
- Hiring Salary Range Posted: $130,700 - $196,100.
- Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience; skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position related factors.
