We are seeking a full time Service Technician II to join the Strathroy, ON team. What you’ll do:
- The Service Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, and inspecting residential, commercial, industrial, and plant propane related equipment. You will also be accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the service and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.
- Install and service commercial propane containers and related equipment. This will include but is not limited to repairs of retail dispensing systems, pumps, meters and propane vaporizers. Provide preventative maintenance solutions, and scheduled maintenance, to commercial and industrial customers. The individual will also complete inspections on new installations.
- Maintain, request and stock service truck with inventory. Ensure all necessary parts, materials and supplies, and equipment and available to perform daily work orders and meet customer requests.
- Collaborate with the Industrial Systems Manager and inform them of any successes, issues or challenges encountered. Obtain their approval for overtime and submit hours worked on a timely basis bi-weekly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promoting the company and its products and services positively and maintaining good customer relations.
What you bring:
- Minimum Provincial G2 certificate required.
- Valid DZ driver's license or be able to obtain DZ License.
- Minimum of two (2) experience.
- Sound technical knowledge of propane appliances, equipment and plant operations.
- Good knowledge of B149 code.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis.
- Regular exposure to outside elements (wind, snow, rain, etc.)
- Good customer service skills.
- Good communications skills.
- Knowledge and ability to use computers, specifically the on-board truck computers.
