Superior Propane is seeking a Tax Analyst to join our Tax team on a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role based in Calgary, AB.

 

What you'll do:

  • Review and Validate: Ensure customer account setups and exemption certificates are complete and valid.
  • Compliance and Reconciliation: Maintain adherence to tax regulations and reconcile government tax statement of accounts.
  • Manage and Administer: Oversee annual license renewals and the monthly handling of rebates and refunds.
  • Support and Improve: Assist in tax audits and contribute to the development of systemic improvements.
  • Prepare and File Tax Returns: Assist in the handling of monthly, quarterly, and annual indirect tax returns for Canada.

 

What you bring:

  • Post secondary education and 1-3 years experience in accounting.
  • A driven attitude, with strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, process innovation, and staff training.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
