As a key member of the National Logistics Team, reporting to the Regional Service & Delivery Managers, you will be responsible for proactively directing the logistics operations within two critical & strategic areas of the business: Frac heating during winter months, and regional regulatory compliance during summer months. This role involves close collaboration with multiple departments, vendors, and customers to ensure the flawless execution of strategic planning, equipment delivery, inventory management, and resource coordination. The role will rely heavily on your expertise in project management, organization, and communication with a focus on continuous improvement in operational processes.

 

What you'll do:

  • Act as the primary and key regional point of contact for all internal & external stakeholders for the Frac heating business in the winter months, and the B51 compliance program in the summer months.
  • Build positive, collaborative relationships with all points of contact, maximizing available resources to successfully meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Establish communication lines with customers while maintaining 24/7 on-call availability during peak winter months, with overtime options.
  • Coordinate with customers and the propane supply team to monitor and react in real-time to inventory supply/usage, and consumption estimates.
  • Prepare tracking, billing, and equipment documentation and ensure availability of drivers and technicians.
  • Organize 3rd party trucking and equipment rentals, maintain PO records, and handle vendor payments.
  • Review, manage and report on operations daily to ensure they are completed accurately & timely in accordance with processing objectives while maximizing billable revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders providing feedback on day-to-day operations, identifying gaps and providing solutions supporting the achievement of operational excellence objectives.
  • Play a critical role in the planning and execution of internal preventative maintenance, safety and compliance programs while striving to improve field staff efficiency and utilization.
  • Promote adherence to all relevant Regulatory and Safety requirements, both legislated and internal standards. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What you bring:

  • Successful completion of post-secondary education.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, preferably in energy, oil, or gas industries.
  • This role requires the ability to work on-call 24/7, specifically during the peak winter season.
  • Proven customer-focused work style, verbal communication skills and the ability to present information to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to build relationships, internally and externally, and lead through influence.
  • Analytical skills with a strong ability to review data including KPIs and use this information to solve problems and continuously improve performance.
  • Exceptional organization and time management abilities, thriving under pressure and adjusting to shifting priorities.
  • Intermediate computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office, are required and previous experience with ADDs, IFS/FSM, and routing or mapping technology is preferred.
  • Safety and technical knowledge, with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
