Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Account Manager - Oilfield, is responsible for the initiation, development and growth of our commercial client base in the Peace Region (Peace River, Slake Lake, Red Earth, Grande Prairie, Whitecourt, High Prairie, High Level, Dawson Creek, Fort St John, and Fort Nelson.).
The Territory Account Manager – Oilfield will market and sell Superior Propane’s product and services to new and existing clients by successfully achieving predefined sales goals and objectives in the Prairie Region.
You will bring a proven track record in consultative selling and strong sales leadership, with a clearly defined process from lead generation through to revenue realization.
What you'll do:
- Provide leadership to your business partners by growing the commercial business portfolio. (This portfolio consists of Oilfield, Commercial, Agriculture, Forklift, and Construction Clients.)
- Collaborate with your business partners (Market Manager, Service Coordinator, Delivery Coordinator) to develop, recommend, and execute a sales plan that leverages national and regional programs and resources to consistently meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Prospect, research, and identify new business opportunities and work the sales plan to create awareness, discover client needs, and deliver product and service solutions.
- Initiate and lead the sales cycle/process as a subject matter expert and acts as the client’s key contact and resource. Build strong business relationships with prospective clients and manage a sales funnel/cycle by continually following up on current business needs and anticipating future business needs.
- Prepare and confidently present sales proposals, including pricing and product/service terms, to key decision makers. Influence, negotiate and close the sale with the best interest of the company and the client in mind.
- Collaborate with and engage your teammates and business partners to ensure the needs of the client will be met.
- Communicate regularly and prepare reports on key performance indicators and communication on sales progress within the sales funnel/cycle and achievements. Intimately know customer base and area activity and utilize information and data to capitalize on sales opportunities and recommend sales strategies.
- Resolve any issues as they arise and involve subject matter experts and key decision makers as needed to remove obstacles.
- Provide initial account maintenance and customer service to ensure customer needs are met.
- Promote and represent Superior Propane positively and professionally within the community and industry to all customers, competitors and industry associates.

- Five (5) to 10 years sales experience
- Exceptional customer service skills and relationship management skills
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Business acumen, financial and analytical skills
- Post-Secondary education or professional certification or equivalent courses
- Strong leadership skills
- Superior organization and objective management skills
- Problem solving skills
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Salesforce an asset)
- Knowledge of the propane industry
- Valid Driver’s License
