We are seeking a full time Class “B” Gasfitter to join the Surrey, BC team. The Service Technician is responsible for installing and servicing complex residential and commercial propane and natural gas related equipment up to and greater than 400,000 BTUs.
What you'll do:
- Install, inspect and service propane tanks and related equipment;
- Transfer propane product;
- Documentation of repairs and inspections of tanks and cylinders;
- Maintenance of liquid and vapor propane equipment;
- Providing first class customer service;
- Travel up to 75% throughout the region (will require overnight stays);
- Willing to work overtime and on call (standby) shifts as required;
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- Minimum BC Gasfitter "B" ticket
- BC Crane operator Certification would be considered an asset
- A minimum of 2-4 years safe work experience in propane and/or a related industry
- Advanced technical knowledge of propane appliances, equipment and plant operations.
- Excellent knowledge of B149 code and other applicable CSA codes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 3 preferred) with air brake endorsement and incident free driver’s abstract.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects on a regular basis.
