About the Role
As a Business Development Director at Signant Health, you will be a critical driver of our growth across the EMEA region, delivering impactful solutions in clinical trials and life sciences. Focusing on cutting-edge solutions like IRT, SmartSupplies, TrialConsent, Patient Engagement, and Neuroscience, you’ll play a vital role in transforming how clinical trials operate. Collaborating closely with Portfolio Leads and Sales Development teams, you’ll leverage Signant Health’s innovative offerings to make a meaningful difference for our clients—and for patients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve Solution Sales Goals: Meet or exceed annual sales targets within your territory, proactively managing sales activities and accounts to drive revenue growth.
- Territory & Account Planning: Partner with Portfolio Leads to develop and execute a strategic territory and account sales plan aligned with company goals, reporting progress monthly to the Executive Director, Business Development.
- Sales Forecasting: Accurately forecast quarterly and annual sales, sharing insights into your sales pipeline and strategic account plans.
- CRM and Pipeline Management: Maintain meticulous records in Salesforce, tracking all sales activities, pipeline status, and contract milestones.
- Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with Portfolio Leads to design and implement strategies that deliver persuasive proposals and close new contracts.
- Business Development: Work with Sales Development teams to proactively identify and pursue new opportunities, fostering meaningful connections with both existing and prospective clients.
- Client Presentations & Industry Representation: Support the creation of compelling RFP/RFI responses and present solutions to potential sponsors. Represent Signant Health at key industry events, demonstrating our expertise and commitment to advancing clinical trials.

You’re a driven, solution-oriented sales professional with a track record in business-to-business sales within the life sciences sector. Skilled in understanding client needs and crafting tailored solutions, you’re also adept at building trusted partnerships and navigating complex sales cycles. A team player, you’re energized by collaboration and motivated to contribute to shared objectives.
What You'll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales within a life sciences or eClinical technology setting, particularly with complex, technical solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical and CRO sectors.
- Strong ability to lead bid defenses and proposal processes, confidently delivering presentations to clients.
- Skilled at creating and executing sales strategies, with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft clear, compelling proposals.
- Proficient in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM usage (Salesforce experience preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional, matrixed setting.
- Fluent in English.
Desirable Skills
- Proven success in eClinical technology sales.
- Experience working in a global company, ideally in a matrix structure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
