Director Business Development - West Coast

Signant Health’s Enterprise Commercial Team is expanding, and we’re looking for a driven Director of Business Development to play a pivotal role in transforming clinical research through cutting-edge technology.
As a Director of Business Development, you will lead the charge in managing and expanding strategic biotech accounts on the West Coast, driving growth across our innovative portfolio. You’ll collaborate with our expert Solution Leads, contributing to company-wide sales objectives while building and nurturing key client relationships. If you’re passionate about pioneering solutions that make a difference within the eClinical space and thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Strategic Sales Efforts: Take ownership of achieving and surpassing sales goals for your territory and accounts, directly impacting Signant Health’s growth.
- Build and Execute Plans: Develop an annual strategic account sales plan aligned with company objectives, sharing progress and insights with the Vice President of Business Development.
- Forecast and Report: Accurately forecast quarterly and annual sales achievements, providing regular updates on your pipeline.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate across teams, from Solution Leads and Solutions Architects to Scientific Consulting and Business Development Operations, ensuring client needs are met with excellence.
- Foster Long-Term Partnerships: Cultivate strong, strategic relationships with key decision-makers within biotech companies, positioning Signant Health as their trusted partner in clinical trials.
- Lead Proposal Development: Oversee the proposal process, from analyzing study protocols to guiding collaborative teams in crafting winning solutions for our unified platform services.
What You Bring
Must-Haves:
- Proven success in B2B sales in life sciences or a related field, with a strong track record in complex, solution-oriented sales.
- Experience selling clinical research services and a deep understanding of the biotech landscape.
- Leadership in proposal development, bid defense, and customer presentation, with the confidence to make an impact at every client touchpoint.
- Expertise in creating and executing sales strategies, managing your pipeline, and forecasting outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a knack for leading teams toward common goals.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven success in selling eClinical technology solutions.
- Familiarity with the CRO industry, matrixed global organizations, and collaborating across cultures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com (or other CRM systems), and Excel.
