Job Title: Resource Data Marketing Intern
Location: Anchorage, AK
Job Summary:
As a Marketing Intern at Resource Data, you’ll immerse yourself in the world of IT and software development. Working side-by-side with the Marketing Manager, you will learn how a growing consulting firm targets markets, conducts market and competitive research, develops targeted messaging, and draws insights and develops plans from marketing research. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to our mission of achieving success.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conducting market research, analysis, and reporting under the guidance of the marketing team leaders, identifying trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities
- Learning to develop go-to-market plans and marketing campaigns while ensuring alignment with the company's brand message and overall marketing strategy.
- Researching opportunities for the company's participation in industry events to boost brand awareness and generate leads.
- Writing employee website profiles to champion the team at Resource Data.
- Developing articles for the company newsletter profiling key stories that promote Resource Data’s culture.
- Creating content that effectively communicates the brand messages such as articles, sales decks, case studies, capability statements, and other marketing collateral.
- Performing ad-hoc marketing tasks as needed on an ongoing basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Eagerness to learn about real-world application of marketing skills
- Organization and research skills
- Able to both collaborate with a team and work independently
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to travel as needed
Education and Experience:
- Must be age 18 at time of hire
- Anticipating 2025 or 2026 graduation with a degree in Marketing
- Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school/program or a recent graduate (1-2 years)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- At least a 2.5 GPA
Preferred:
- Experience with the Adobe creative suite (Creative Cloud, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong critical thinking and research skills
- Familiarity with SEO research
- Knowledge of prompting Large Language Models (ie. ChatGPT, Claude etc.)
- Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
