Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Geosciences/Offshore
Job Summary:
We are hiring a Senior Project Manager with geosciences and/or offshore experience.
This position will serve as a member of the senior management team and have the primary responsibility for managing large, environmental projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Performing all assigned tasks in a professional manner, in compliance with all company and regulatory safety and technical standards.
• Primarily responsible for delivery of both internal and external projects in accordance with technical, contractual and commercial requirements.
• Regular reporting on project performance to Management.
• Selection, approval and review of subcontractors.
• Primary point of contact for clients throughout project life cycle from commercial handover to close out.
• Lead with the development of rigorous project management procedures and workflows to ensure a robust system is developed across business lines.
• Responsible for coordination with operational teams to ensure proper resourcing of projects, both personnel and equipment.
• Input and review of requests for quotation and tenders.
• Lead for any project specific procurement as required.
• Attendance as required on site and at related industry events.
• To assist colleagues in all aspects of day-to-day operations where requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Good skills in MS Office, advanced knowledge of MS Excel, and proficiency in CostPoint.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, or related field desirable
• Project management qualification - PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
• Management: Familiar with scheduling and commercial forecasting, good leadership skills and interpersonal skills.
• Contracts: Experience with review and application of contractual documents. Able to handle basic negotiations with clients and suppliers.
• REQUIRED - Technical: Good understanding of the offshore geotechnical survey industry, offshore operations and geotechnical data requirements.
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• A proven track record of successful management and delivery of projects
