Coastal Carolina Hospital (CCH) is a 41-bed acute care hospital located at 1000 Medical Center Drive in Hardeeville, SC. RN Wound Care PRN Days Position Summary
Responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. These include, but are not limited to, utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care through the use of hospital and nursing standards. Provides case management to a group of patients providing specific assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management, and acts as patient advocate in delivery and coordination of patient care. Provides efficient and effective care with the guidance of the physician during the clinic sessions, and is dependable. Able to manage a number of patients at the same time with high energy and organization. Collaborates with other health care providers, wound care center Physicians, Program Director and Medical Director, regarding clinic and patient needs.
RN WOUND CARE PRN DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Education:
Must have South Carolina Registered Nurse license or multistate licensure from another Compact State within the prescribed guidelines of the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.
Experience:
1. A minimum of 6 months nursing practice on a medical/surgical unit and successful completion of a critical care training program preferred.
2. Wound Care background preferred.
3. Telemetry training/experience preferred.
Other Qualifications:
1. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support card required.
2. Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support card preferred.
