Registered Nurse for Lowcountry OBGYN
Job Title: Registered Nurse
General Summary: The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient triage and education, assisting physicians during office hours, and following up on prescriptions, procedures, and tests. This role involves maintaining accurate chart documentation to ensure all information about visits is completed and recorded correctly.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

Adhere to and support the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the practice.

Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Show support for corporate compliance by understanding and following applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies; report compliance issues or concerns promptly.

Assist in assessing patient needs and developing treatment plans by taking vital signs, blood pressure, patient history, medication lists, and determining chief complaints. Provide physicians with assessments of patient conditions.

Perform tests as directed by physicians.

Prepare equipment and assist physicians with medical treatments, exams, and procedures.

Draw lab specimens, prepare them for transport, and complete necessary forms and/or computer entries.

Administer prescribed oral medications and provide intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.

Assist with patient teaching and instructions.

Triage patients to identify emergencies and provide immediate support when necessary. Notify the provider of medical emergencies.

Assist in developing and documenting patient care protocols, procedures, and educational materials.

Compile and analyze a variety of medical, statistical, and operational data, and prepare reports for outcome measurement and program efficacy.

Review treatment forms to ensure that all necessary data for maximizing reimbursement is identified. Route relevant information to appropriate department personnel.

Ensure accurate entry of information into the Electronic Health Record.
Education: High school diploma/GED and completion of an accredited nursing program.
Certification: South Carolina or compact RN nursing license and current CPR certification.
Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical experience in an OBGYN or Physician Practice Clinic
