Job Title: Nurse Practitioner – OB/GYN Clinic
General Summary:
This position is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in an OB/GYN clinic. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care, including conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, and creating treatment plans. The role also involves educating patients on health maintenance and preventive care, managing routine and complex OB/GYN cases, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols and standards.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrates support for the Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures that affect specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
Conducts thorough assessments of patients, including physical examinations, medical histories, and diagnostic testing.
Diagnoses and treats a variety of OB/GYN conditions, including pregnancy-related issues, gynecological disorders, and general women’s health concerns.
Develops and implements individualized treatment plans and monitors patient progress.
Orders, interprets, and follows up on diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
Provides education and counseling to patients regarding health maintenance, preventive care, and treatment options.
Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care and coordination.
Performs routine and complex procedures as required by the scope of practice and clinic protocols.
Manages patient records and ensures accurate documentation of care provided.
Addresses patient concerns and questions, providing compassionate and professional care.
Stays current with medical advancements, best practices, and OB/GYN guidelines.
Performs additional responsibilities as needed.
Education:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in South Carolina
Certification:
Current NP licensure and certification as required by state and federal regulations.
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an OB/GYN setting or similar healthcare environment.
Experience with patient management, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning in OB/GYN care.
