About the Job:
The position of Vice President, Sales will have primary responsibility of utilizing the Intermodal portfolio of service offerings and capabilities to solve complex supply chain and logistics challenges for potential and existing clients. This position is also responsible for designing plans to meet new business sales targets and developing relationships with potential clients and current customers.
In This Role, You Will:
- Work with CCO and Senior Leadership as needed to execute corporate strategic plan
- Collaborate with Divisional Presidents on an as needed basis to accomplish corporate goals
- Provide external Sales support to enable Odyssey to grow top line revenue
- Provide external Sales coordination of Odyssey enterprise customer opportunities when more than one Division is involved
- Assemble an overall Odyssey value proposition mindful of company competitiveness and overall margin with the support of Finance
- Analyze top Odyssey customers for multi-service opportunities, make recommendations on actions required for growth
- Identify projects that enable customer wallet share growth
- Rely on Divisional Sales resources and their customer relationships for their respective services
- Respond to customer enterprise inquiries (such as RFI’s) and coordinating the correct Odyssey businesses and functions input
- Support the use of Salesforce or other Sales admin tracking tools
- Work with HR to identify and recommend Sales training initiatives that will foster greater Sales success
- Conduct sales pipeline reviews with Management
- Perform an analysis of the top one hundred Odyssey customers for opportunity, make recommendations on identified opportunities
- Create positive working relationships with Divisional Sales team to enable multi-service Sales adoption
- Quarterback enterprise customer requests for Information
- All other duties and projects as assigned.

Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years sales experience, preferably in the logistics industry or at a minimum, exposure to the logistics industry beyond Intermodal Sales, with primary or secondary responsibilities that include Intermodal Sales activities.
- Proven track record of exhibiting good follow-up with clients and building strong, long-lasting relationships with individuals in the industry.
- Must have the breadth of knowledge on a wide variety of transportation & logistics topics in order to converse and have positive interactions with clients; quickly building rapport.
- Superior communication and presentation skills with the ability to present information and respond to questions from customers; partnered with the ability to understand the audience.
- Ability to articulate corporate information to current and potential clients and represent the company’s image to the public.
- Team player with the ability to manage partnerships and cultivate relationships with internal and external customers
- Experienced in using CRM platforms and client reports, specifically Salesforce
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial documents and work with mathematical concepts.
- Strategic thinker with the business acumen and ability to align people, related strategies and recommendations with business and growth objectives
