About the Job: 
 

The position of Driver Recruiter will have primary responsibility of sourcing, qualifying, interviewing, and onboarding qualified drivers to meet the company’s operational needs. This role involves conducting industry research, developing strategic recruiting initiatives, and maintaining a pipeline of potential candidates. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends, driver qualifications, and recruitment best practices to ensure a seamless hiring process.

 

In This Role, You Will: 

  • Proactively consult with business unit leadership and HR Business Partners to understand business objectives, staffing requirements, and long-term workforce planning needs.
  • Actively research industry competition to identify market trends, pay structures, benefits, and retention strategies.
  • Provide leadership with recommendations on compensation, bonuses, recruiting strategies, and retention programs based on competitive analysis.
  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies, including mining new driver leads and re-engaging cold leads and former employees eligible for rehire.
  • Respond to incoming telephone and email inquiries, providing accurate information about job opportunities and qualifications.
  • Engage with interested candidates to ensure a smooth application process, proactively following up on incomplete applications.
  • Track all applications throughout the qualification process in collaboration with the Safety Department to ensure compliance and efficient hiring.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and hiring metrics.
  • Utilize various recruitment platforms, social media, and networking opportunities to enhance outreach efforts.

Desired:

    • Strong knowledge of the transportation industry, including driver qualifications and DOT regulations.
    • Ability to conduct competitive market research and provide data-driven recommendations.

    • Previous experience in driver recruitment, transportation, or talent acquisition accepted in lieu of education requirement.
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Location:  

This is a Hybrid role based in Fullerton, CA. Can also sit in Fife, WA. 
4 days a week in office.

 

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets. 

 
The base pay range for this position is: $67,000 to $87,000 per year.
