Field Mechanic

Posting Job Title: Field Mechanic 

Brief Description:
The Field Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the proper working order of all company equipment in the field. This role involves performing routine and non-routine repairs, monitoring equipment during operations, and advancing in the progression plan to make informed decisions regarding equipment servicing.

Detailed Description:

• Monitors equipment operation during pumping activities and performs field repairs as needed.
• Ensures compliance with Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, NexTier Partnership, and client policies and regulations.
• Demonstrates proper driving techniques in applicable DOT vehicles.
• Obtains necessary certifications and licenses as required.
• Learns basic auxiliary equipment involved in maintenance operations.
• Maintains a continued focus on service, quality, and safety.
• Reads diagrams and schematics to follow work procedures.
• Operates hoists and lift devices to position machinery safely.
• Performs routine maintenance and non-routine repairs on company assets.
• Lubricates, services, diagnoses, repairs, assembles, and maintains vehicles and other machinery.
• Stays updated on changes to industry standards.
• Ensures equipment meets DOT compliance standards after completing repairs.
• Completes all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to read and write in English.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics for component troubleshooting.
• Understanding and application of basic diagnostic principles.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret safety manuals, operational instructions, and policies/procedures effectively.
• Ability to write reports and communicate information to coworkers, customers, or management.
• Works independently or in a team environment.
• Adaptability to changing work conditions.
• Promotes safety awareness and adheres to quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Language Comprehension:
Must understand and speak English at a level sufficient to issue, receive, and respond to both safety and operations-related directions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:High School Diploma.
• Experience:3-4 years.
