Annual Salary Range: $ 102,300 - $ 127,900
JOB SUMMARY:
In coordination with CIO / CISO: plans, directs, and coordinates the operations of technology hardware, software, and security in support of overall strategic and operational business objectives. Manages disaster planning, budgeting, IT staffing, and support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides organizational input into the technology aspects of shared projects.
- Authorizes technology purchases, payments and maintenance for the company.
- Oversees infrastructure and development efforts to assure IT is meeting strategic and operational objectives of the company.
- Tracks multiple high-value IT projects.
- Prepares annual Information Technology budget, tracks expenditures, and allocates funds.
- Manages workforce and directs department workflow.
- Analyzes cost, value and risk of technology to select suitable technology for the company.
- Oversees Disaster planning.
- Monitors changes in technology keeping the company up to date.
- Participates in organizational strategic planning and assists CIO / CISO in developing Information Technology strategic plan.
- Monitors and evaluates IT projects.
- Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field required.
- Four (4) years related experience in budgeting, strategic planning, disaster planning, conflict resolution, large scale implementations and resource allocation planning required.
- Supervisory and management experience required.
- Experience supervising under a collective bargaining agreement preferred.
- Experience in public transportation or similar government structure preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of information technology administration best practices and trends.
- Knowledge of MCTS operations.
- Skilled in computer operations and spreadsheet, word processing, database, and related software.
- Ability to manage conflict and balance competing interests from multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and execute company strategies to attain outcomes for set goals.
- Ability to manage others.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to analyze data to determine current and future needs.
- Ability to determine cost, benefit and risk of new technology.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
- Work is frequently conducted in an office or similar indoor environment relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
- Physical requirements are those described as sedentary work, which includes exerting ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently and/or constantly having to lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
