About the Role

 

The Loomis Sayles Associate Development Program (ADP) is a component of our strategy to attract, retain and develop early career talent by leveraging the pipeline created by the Undergraduate Women’s Investment Network (UWIN) and Undergraduate Summer Internship Development (USID) programs. ADP offers new employees who have completed the UWIN or USID program broad exposure and experience in the investment management business via rotations through a diverse set of Loomis Sayles departments over a two-year period. The experience provides early-stage professionals with opportunities to build and hone relevant skill sets while directly contributing to the firm’s overall success. We are hiring four associates for our 2025 co-hort.

 

Job Responsibilities

Provide analytical support to the department’s investment processes while learning foundational skills in investment management. Rotations may include investment research, product teams, trading and Sustainability. Depending on the team, responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

  • Prepare analytical data and reporting
  • Build and maintain financial models.
  • Compile and analyze industry and company data using Excel, PowerPoint and internal applications
  • Generate and analyze product team position reports Collaborate with technology and operations to create more efficient reporting structures for the team
  • Help prepare and distribute materials for both internal and external investment meetings
  • Assume responsibility for special projects including those requiring effective use of internal and external data and information management systems
  • Identify and develop new and improved ways of managing information flow
  • Work independently and exercise judgment in working with colleagues and external entities
  • Develop an understanding of the firm’s investment processes and how various functions within the firm are connected
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned or requested

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with experience in an analytical discipline such as accounting, finance, business, economics or mathematics
  • Alumni of either UWIN or USID
  • Strong interest in financial markets and investments 
  • Demonstrated ability to source information and offer new insights
  • Experience with and understanding of financial statements and strong modeling ability
  • Quick learner; able to work accurately at a rapid pace with competing priorities
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Programming skills a plus
  • Solid writing skills and developing presentation skills
  • Excels in a team environment – proactive, collaborative, collegial
  • Positive attitude, takes direction well and embraces feedback
