The Accounting Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording of transactions, account analyses and reconciliations within GAAP guidelines. The position will have a role in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of journal entries in support of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
- Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliation
- Prepare and distribute monthly and/or quarterly reports
- Prepare various schedules for external auditors on an annual basis
- Perform forecast, budget & prior year variance analyses on monthly balance sheets, income statements, and changes in financial position
- Perform and monitor testing as part of the Company’s SOX compliance and Internal Audit programs
- Assist in preparing company’s retirement plans, statutory and annual financial statements
- Ad hoc analysis and special projects
- Collaborate with international regions

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 0-3 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong foundation with Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel), and the use of information systems
- Ability to learn/operate technology systems quickly
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize accordingly
- Commitment to strict deadlines and ability to perform well under pressure
