Accounting Analyst

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording of transactions, account analyses and reconciliations within GAAP guidelines. The position will have a role in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of journal entries in support of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
• Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliation
• Prepare and distribute monthly and/or quarterly reports
• Prepare various schedules for external auditors on an annual basis
• Perform forecast, budget & prior year variance analyses on monthly balance sheets, income statements, and changes in financial position
• Perform and monitor testing as part of the Company’s SOX compliance and Internal Audit programs
• Assist in preparing company’s retirement plans, statutory and annual financial statements
• Ad hoc analysis and special projects
• Collaborate with international regions

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 0-3 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong foundation with Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel), and the use of information systems
• Ability to learn/operate technology systems quickly
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize accordingly
• Commitment to strict deadlines and ability to perform well under pressure
