You might be a fit for this role, if you can perform the Key Responsibilities of this position:

  • Proficient in designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining test programs via scripting and multiple programming languages 
  • Participates in defining short term and long term automation strategies for the teams product set.
  • Create and maintain test documentation such as test cases, defect reports and test result summaries.
  • Interact with team members and other groups to troubleshoot and resolve quality defects and issues identified during the testing process and post-release of the product.
  • Communicate product and process information to other members of the team, other departments, and customers as necessary.
  • Develop and Execute automated testing scripts for maximum test coverage.
  • You will plan, develop, and execute tests against software and hardware products using a variety of manual and automated test tools to ensure requirements are met.
  • Work with the development team to ensure all requirements have been tested, defects have been identified and documented, impacts have been assessed, and resolutions provided

In addition, Sr. QA Test Automation Developer should be also capable of independently performing most, if not all, of the following tasks:

  • Working within team and across departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and maintain quality assurance testing processes and practices; continuously contributing to streamlined, more effective and efficient quality assurance testing
  • Through efficient and effective quality assurance testing standards, tools, techniques and execution, helping Core Development and other cross-functional partners to maximize the potential for new or updated releases to be completed on-time, on-target, on-budget and without compromise to quality
  • Supporting other internal and external partners/stakeholders/customers, as and when appropriate, in responding to quality assurance testing inquiries and/or other ad hoc needs
  • Staying abreast of industry and field developments; remaining current in the latest quality assurance testing technologies and functionalities as well as ever-evolving needs of customers and their customers

Required Skills

  • Experience with continuous integration, build and release automation, automated test suites
  • Solid technical background in operating systems, databases, and networks
  • Ability to clearly document test results
  • Experience with scripting languages/frameworks such as PowerShell, Python, Selenium, Robot , etc..
  • Experience with CI tools and frameworks such as ROBOT or Jenkins.
  • Experience using git

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline is strongly preferred
  • Proficient in one or more programming/scripting languages (Powershell, python, etc…).
  • 5-7 years’ relevant technical experience
  • Has a minimum of 5 years’ previous experience developing test automation
  • Experience using virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox)
  • Experience with WANS, Load balancers, distributed servers.
  • Experience testing network applications and embedded software systems.
  • Experience with TCP/IP communications, HTTP, REST, SOAP.
