Job Purpose

In the role of Sr. IT Business Applications Specialist, you will oversee the system administration aspects of the business applications that are used by the company. Primary functions will include day to day application administration activities, application performance tuning and maintenance (service packs and upgrades), user provisioning, application support, and segregation of duties reporting. The role will also play a supporting role with both cross-functional, project-based initiatives and implementations of new functionality related to IT Business Applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer systems supported by the IT Business Applications. These systems include both proprietary and commercial.
  • Manage end users issues and education requests
  • Maintain system metrics to track trends in usage and data integrity
  • Identify usage problems and craft functional (for end users) and technical communication plans to remedy issues
  • Review, establish and maintain complex user roles, security, profiles, workflow rules, etc.
  • Work with management in analyzing problems, providing solutions, or recommending corrective action and implementing solutions
  • Work with vendor partners and design optimal solutions for integration and complex functionality
  • Work with internal key-stakeholders to take advantage of all that our systems offer
  • Experience with IT change control processes
  • Must possess outstanding customer service skills
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills working with/resolving both user and technical issues
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, or as part of a team, under tight timeframes

Qualifications

4-6 years of experience functioning as an administrator/developer

Other Responsibilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide
    training and one on one support end users
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to multitask with multiple projects and helpdesk requests.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • BS/BA required or equivalent experience
    • Large implementations with over 400+ users in a global environment is a plus
    • Experience with Licensing applications and process is a plus
    • Experience with web applications such as IIS and Apache is a plus
    • SharePoint Experience (Enterprise Portal) is a plus
    • Understanding of Powershell and DB scripting is a plus
