GENERAL FUNCTION
Under the direction of the Director of Buildings and Grounds, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee assigned duties, inspect work, investigate complaints regarding maintenance/custodial services and take corrective action. The Supervisor will provide inventory updates of supplies and equipment, direct/assist new employees, monitor the safety/cleanliness of the building and monitor the performance of department employees. The scheduled work hours are as follows for a 40 hour work week.
KNOW HOW
- Candidates must at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma, or its equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in housekeeping and general maintenance, including experience/ability to operate small and large machinery, such as vacuums, buffers and hand tools, such as hammers and screwdrivers.
- Maintain current certifications in CPR AED and First Aid, and attend other mandatory trainings, such as New Employee Orientation, Child Abuse Prevention and Safety and Risk Management within 60-90 days of employment.
- Requires strong interpersonal and supervisory skills and the ability to work independently, solve problems, manage multiple tasks, supervise and train staff and communicate effectively with members, guests and staff to ensure well-maintained facilities.
