We are currently seeking individuals for the following shifts:
- Mornings
- Evenings
- Weekends
What You'll Do:
As a Wellness Advisor I, you will ensure the safety of YMCA members in strength and cardio areas. You'll facilitate retention appointments to engage new members, track their progress, and help them achieve their wellness goals. Your proactive support will guide members through the onboarding process while fostering a motivating and safe environment.
Who Should Apply?
- Must be at least 18 years old with a basic understanding of exercise science and wellness principles (1 year of strength/conditioning experience required).
- High school diploma is necessary.
- Exceptional relationship-building, empathy, and communication skills are essential.
- Familiarity with YMCA wellness programs and basic computer skills are required.
- Strong organizational abilities for scheduling, outcome tracking, and record-keeping.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding personal information of members.
- Current certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, New Employee Orientation, Child Abuse Prevention, YMCA Healthy Lifestyles, and Foundations of Strength and Conditioning (or equivalent) are required.
- Ongoing Continuing Education Credits to maintain all certifications.
