Place of work/Travel:

Ukraine (mainly Kyiv) 50 - 100% of the time. Home base (likely UK/EU but flexible) with requirement to spend some time on home rotations in Crisis24 London office. Occasional requirement to travel to locations outside the above.

Crisis24 has been operating in and around Ukraine since January 2022, supporting clients’ personnel and operations throughout the war. GardaWorld also has significant operations in-country, run out of an operating base in Kyiv. As a result of the ongoing situation and increased demand for our services, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join Crisis24’s Crisis & Security Consulting (CSC) team. We are looking for a number of highly organised and experienced security risk management practitioners to rotate between Ukraine and home (likely UK but flexible) to:

 

  • Support the operational delivery of our client services in Ukraine, as well as the growth of our team and practice in Central and Eastern Europe.
  • Support the wider UK/Europe risk and crisis management consulting team where required

 

Role Outline:

 

Operational support to clients in Central and Eastern Europe

 

  • Delivery and management of SRM, CM and BCM consulting services (such as risk assessments, policy/plan development, incident and crisis management planning and other projects)
  • Produce all relevant documentation in support of assigned pre-incident consulting services delivery; responsible for the quality and standards of such documentation in line with CSC’s best practice doctrine and methodology
  • Support the delivery of client services in Central and Eastern Europe, including (but not limited to):
  • Client liaison and management
  • Management of third-party vendors and ground services
  • Administration of the Crisis24 Safe Havens (ensuring supplies and equipment in place), and responding to client employee requests for safe house use and other ad hoc support
  • Delivery of training and briefings both in-person and virtually
  • Conduct local area research and delivery of analysis on observations
  • Project management of live security risk and crisis management consulting projects and coordination of deployments including administration of other staff and/or third-party consultants on projects

 

Other consulting services delivery

 

  • When required, deploy to client offices throughout UK & Europe and/or other overseas locations to deliver CSC’s pre-incident consulting services

 

 

Business development

  • Support the generation of new security and crisis management consultancy opportunities both in Ukraine and in the wider UK & Europe region, in support of CSC’s new business targets
  • Identify opportunities to promote and enhance CSC’s security and crisis management consulting initiatives
  • Scope, price, manage and/or oversee the development of RFPs and client proposals
  • Represent CSC, Crisis24 and GardaWorld in client pitches, presentations and meetings
  • Identify opportunities to introduce the wider GardaWorld services into clients

 

All hazards response

  • May deploy to client offices throughout UK & Europe and/or other overseas locations to deliver ‘all hazards’ crisis management response support services

 

Account management

  • Client liaison and account/client relationship management of new and existing consulting clients

 

 Team support & engagement

  • Deputise to the Director Central/Eastern Europe as needed
  • Support the development of more junior team members and work in cooperation with the wider global consulting team on all aspects of consulting services delivery

 

Administrative

  • Maintain and/or oversee accurate accounting records for key clients allocated
  • Keep Salesforce and any other platforms used by Crisis24 up to date and accurate in relation to relevant accounts and proposals

 

Other

  • Support the wider Crisis24 and GardaWorld business as required

Skills & Experience:

 

  • Minimum 10+ years' relevant previous experience in a security, intelligence, risk or crisis management environment, working in an operational and/or consulting role
  • Strong working knowledge of Security Risk and Crisis Management / Business Continuity Management – Best Practice and Industry Standards
  • Demonstrable commercial experience developing new business opportunities
  • Extensive travel experience globally including in high threat / hostile environments
  • Prior experience in region an advantage
  • Competent skills with office-based software; MSOffice
  • Ideally at least one relevant security risk management qualification (CSMP, CPP, PSP or other)
  • Relevant European languages an advantage

 

Accountability:

 

The Senior Managing Consultant will report to the Director (Central and Eastern Europe), for the development and maintenance of Best Practice in CSC’s pre-incident consulting services. These responsibilities will be monitored and managed through the company performance management review cycle and regular monitoring of performance against KPIs throughout the year. Core accountabilities are: Delivery of consulting services; Execution of defined administrative tasks; Participation in company performance management cycle; Delivery of revenue through new business development tenders & proposals and day-to-day CRM.

  • To issue consulting services deliverables
