Summary Description
As a member of the product management team, the Sr. Product Manager shall be the ultimate decision maker for the product line and is responsible for the high-level strategy, long-term roadmap, and feature/function fit for a product line. The Sr. PM is also the primary person conducting market research, identifying and owning the customer needs and problems, determining market windows and timing, product pricing models, and building plans for product introduction and developing market launch and roll-out strategies. The position includes product marketing, forecasting, and profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities for the product line.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
·Tracks the overall market and competitive dynamics.
·Manages the long-term product or product-line roadmap, involving sales, marketing, implementations, clients, prospects, partners, and other groups.
·Attends iteration demos and some stand-ups, but doesn’t drive them daily (PO’s do).
·Supports other non-technical organizations (such as sales, marketing, and client success).
·Attends and represents the product line at industry events
·Writes acceptance criteria.
·Demonstrate latest iteration to customers (pre-release) and gathers feedback directly and indirectly.
·Manages and mentors junior PM’s and or PO’s on the team
Job Standards
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
·Bachelor's degree in engineering, software, another technical field or business is required, MBA preferred
·5-7+ years of experience in product, software development or project management
·Ability to work in the US without restrictions.
·Pass a pre-employment check.
