ABOUT US:

The Honickman Companies is a leader in the beverage industry with over 66 years in the marketplace. With offices in the Mid Atlantic Region (MD, VA, NJ and NY), we are seeking a Tel - Sell Rep to be part of our Team in our Glen Burnie office. 

POSITION SUMMARY:  

Call each assigned customer on their scheduled day for an order.  Maintain a liaison between our customer base, Sales Reps, Route employees and all departments. 

 

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

  • Keep open communications with Sales reps, Route employees and all departments. 
  • Maintain good customer relations through daily sales calls and follow up.
  • Control service frequency through proper balance of delivery schedule, and products to reduce call-ins.
  • Keep track of customers with coolers and ensure they are buying the required number of cases (per the contract) in order to keep the cooler.
  • Visits accounts as required.
  • Keep route books up to date.
  • Sell new products and current deals to customers.
  • Communicate to customers any payment issues.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D certification and 2 years customer service experience or equivalent job duties.
  • Associates degree or some college level coursework.
  • Related training or certification.
  • Experience with confidential files, documents and other information.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Office equipment including, but not limited to, computer, phone, fax machine, copier and calculator.
  • MS Office including Word and Excel.

 

We offer a competitive hourly pay of $20/hr. Excellent benefits which include medical, dental and vision. Eligibility in benefit plans begin the first of the month after 90 days of employment 40 hours of sick leave; 1 week of vacation after a year of service, 9 Company Paid Holidays (pro-rated based on hire date) and a 401K Plan with employer match.
