Recruiter
Security Benefit is searching for a Recruiter with proven experience to join our team. This position will work in our home office in Topeka, Kansas and report to the Senior Recruiter. SB associates are working in a hybrid environment with both remote and on-site work.

What Does the Job Look Like?
The Recruiter will recruit and fill open positions within several Security Benefit business lines and will provide HR support and guidance to assigned business units within Security Benefit, partnering closely with their supervisor, business unit leaders, managers and HR colleagues to ensure the building of a high-performance organization and culture. They will provide hands-on human resources support to assigned business in the areas of employee relations, recruiting and on-boarding, as well as providing this support as backup to other business lines as required.
- Develops an understanding of assigned business unit goals and staffing requirements
- Works in conjunction with their supervisor and assigned hiring managers to ensure business unit hiring requirements are effectively translated into hiring specifications, job postings, candidate evaluation forms, behavioral interview questions, etc.
- Recruits new associates following established guidelines
- Uses targeted selection to ensure the right person is hired for each position
- Acts in compliance with internal policies and procedures and legislation.
- Manages employee relations issues, working with senior HR leaders to bring resolution.
- Proactively identifies employee development and compliance needs where observed and works with L&D to select methods and programs to meet the needs of the business.
- Acts as a contributor and a proactive agent in the development and delivery of firm diversity and inclusion programs.
- Participates with the HR team in completing special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous HR generalist experience, including a strong recruiting background preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is required. PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
- Must be a team player and able to work across multiple functions and disciplines and possess strong collaboration skills.
- Must have and maintain a strong knowledge of employment law and regulations.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, communications and relationship building skills.
- Must have demonstrated PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Experience with Ultimate Software and/or Applicant Tracking systems is highly preferred.
- Financial services industry experiences a plus.
