Warehouse Supervisor
Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Founded in 1858, Hajoca is a company based on the principles of “Service, Integrity, Reliability,” and on relationships of trust and support with teammates, customers, and suppliers. Throughout its history, Hajoca has played an active role in shaping advances in plumbing. However, we attribute our success to two simple truths; a unique business philosophy and talented people. Hajoca is all about the people, who give us our advantage, and who will guide us successfully into the future.
Although Hajoca is a large company, we work in a decentralized environment where each of our locations, called Profit Centers (PCs), is run by the Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. A typical Profit Center is the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized business approach, honoring what’s special about each local marketplace.
Dahl is one of those trade names and is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor at their Colorado Springs, CO location.
Pay for Warehouse Supervisor is between $23 and $24.00 per hour at this location. Application deadline: 12/25/2024
Are you good at cramming as much as possible into a warehouse while still maintaining functionality? Do you thrive on solving problems? Can you juggle multiple tasks without getting overwhelmed or frustrated? Can you quickly change from doing a task to directing and guiding others? If so, we’d like you to join our Warehouse team as a Warehouse Supervisor.
About the day-to-day:
- Unload freight trucks, check-in freight and small packages
- Give direction and guidance to our driver/warehouse team, ensuring everyone is safe and efficient
- Use the computer to receive material, backorder tickets, adjust inventory, research shortages and missing products, build manifests, route and track deliveries, create shipping labels, schedule pickups, run and interpret reports
- Occasionally deliver material yourself
- Assist customers on the counter, including picking will-call orders
- Assist teammates with finding, moving, and picking material, especially when a forklift is needed
- Pick, prepare, and load second run and morning deliveries.
You will need to:
- Learn our processes, procedures, products, warehouse, customers and jobsites and any nuances associated with them
- Keep us running smoothly. Let me know of issues when they arise, what we need to do to resolve them and carry out the solution
- Keep track of ongoing and daily tasks and ask for help when you need it
- Help train and guide new teammates
- Identify when a possible mistake was made by a salesperson or customer and inquire further to ensure the customer receives the material they need
- Be a leader in the warehouse:
- Make sure people (including yourself) get home on time when possible. Manage you and your team’s overtime and communicate with teammates about their ability and desire to work beyond their expected hours.
- Take on warehouse/delivery roles when teammates take vacation or are sick
- Balance your workload, asking for help when necessary to minimize driver downtime and maximize possible deliveries per day
- Give direction and assign tasks to non-warehouse staff (sales, showroom, and manager) when they offer assistance with daily tasks or ongoing projects
- Lead by example, especially when it comes to attitude, timeliness, hard work and initiative
Other Responsibilities:
- Review and maintain appropriate DOT records and ensure driver teammates do so as well
- Maintain the safety of warehouse and vehicle operations in compliance with the company’s Safety Standards, OSHA and any other applicable regulations
- Help resolve all delivery complaints and customer issues quickly

- Maintain the security of warehouse and grounds to protect the Profit Center’s assets
- Perform all job functions in accordance with the company’s safety standards
- Ensure equipment is maintained well, safe, and road-worthy. When needed, assist with getting quotes, making decisions, and scheduling preventative maintenance and repair of delivery vehicles and forklifts, minimizing customer impact
