The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the health and well-being of all New Yorkers. To this end, in partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), FPHNYC incubates innovative public health initiatives implemented by DOHMH to advance community health throughout the city. It facilitates partnerships, often new and unconventional, between government and the private sector to develop, test, and launch new initiatives. These collaborations speed the execution of demonstration projects, effect expansion of successful pilot programs, and support rapid implementation to meet the public health needs of individuals, families, and communities across New York City.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Division of Information Technology aims to align technology solutions with the DOHMH mission by prioritizing resource use and deploying innovations that facilitate the agency’s day-to-day activities and enhance staff productivity and efficiency. Our goal is to provide users with a reliable, stable, and safe computing environment, through the collaboration of the Bureau of Technology Strategy & Project Management provides business analysis and IT project management services to define and deliver IT solutions that meet all program needs.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The IT Technician will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of Workspace ONE solutions. This role involves managing and optimizing the deployment of Workspace ONE to ensure seamless operation and security of mobile and endpoint devices within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Administer and manage VMware Workspace ONE environment, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.

-Maintain and optimize the performance of Workspace ONE components.

· Implement and manage policies for device management, application management, and security.

· Provide support and troubleshooting for Workspace ONE-related issues.

· Monitor and ensure compliance with corporate security policies and procedures.

· Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate Workspace ONE with other systems and services.

· Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in Workspace ONE and mobile device management (MDM).Assist in application usage and other administrative actions within the application

· Troubleshoot issues and manage production support

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

-Proven experience as a System Administrator with a focus on VMware Workspace ONE.

· Strong understanding of mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint management.

· Proficiency in Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.

· Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional - Digital Workspace) are a plus.

ADDITIONAL:

· Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and report complex information

· Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation

· Desire to grow professionally, develop new skills and willingness to work outside of comfort zone.

· Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

SALARY

· Salary range is $50,000 to $55,000

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT

You must live in New York City Tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) in order to be considered for a position at FPHNYC.
