Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
To monitor process in area of responsibility to ensure equipment and control parameters are functioning as designed. To ensure process is operated in a safe and efficient manner.
II. QUALIFICATIONS
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Current, State-issued Driver’s License
- An Associate’s degree in Electrical or related fields or a NCCER Certification or minimum two (2) years of plant electrical maintenance experience.
III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment malfunctions
- Repair electrical equipment & systems
- Install electrical equipment and control devices/circuits
- Run electrical conduit, cable tray with associated fitting and wirings
- Calibrate protective relays and transducers
- Troubleshoot and program various V.F.D.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in various laboratory equipment
- Work outside normal shift hours as needed.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Other tasks and duties assigned by Supervisor to perform test and PM on following
equipment:
• 480V, 4160V and 13.8KV SWGR
• 13.8KV Capacitor Banks
• 13.8/4.16KV and 13.8KV/480V Transformers
• 1000 HP 500V DC Motor and Controller
• 4160V and 480V MCC
• UPS System
• 480V, 4160V and 13.8KV Motors
