Logistics Coordinator

Major responsibilities 

  • Initiate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments from 3PL in Canada/US
  • Complete administrative tasks to maintain accurate records of all transactions in ERP, including purchase orders, sales orders and data entry tasks
  • Monitor and respond to enquiries in the logistics inbox, escalating where necessary to the Logistics manager
  • Keep the logistics manager informed of any non-normative deliveries or situations
  • Communicate with carriers, forwarders, and customs brokers
  • Work with the cross docked network of 3PL providers, consolidating shipments and making decisions that prioritize customer experience and cost
  • Build and dispatch loads efficiently
  • Stay current with transportation prices and trends
  • Consistently follow up on loads booked and shipped
  • Prioritize and coordinate work activities to meet customer demands
  • Maintain a cooperative, productive work environment
  • Respond to difficult and stressful situations in an effective and positive manner
  • Resolve issues regarding: Freight and Customs

 

Skills and qualifications

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in logistics/supply chain or equivalent work experience
  • Organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must be a dependable team player and work well with others in a professional manner
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve and prioritize
  • Individuals who have experience in CPG, particularly beverage preferred, although entry level with proven interest in the field will be considered
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
  • Experience with Cin7 Core or other cloud based ERP is an asset

Salary $48,000 to $50,000 depends on experience
